“Emotions! Love! Pride! Hate! Fear! Have you no emotions, sir, hmm?”
A few months ago (at least, I’m telling myself it was only a few months ago) I was fortunate enough to come into possession of a blister pack of old Citadel Miniatures from the Doctor Who range from the mid 80s.
This pack included the first 3 Doctors, complete with classic hex slotta bases!
I was overjoyed to receive these lovely miniatures of William Hartnell’s 1st Doctor, Patrick Troughton’s 2nd Doctor and of course the revered Jon Pertwee’s 3rd Doctor. They’re extremely characterful sculpts, with recognisable elements such as the recorder the 2nd Doctor used to play, and the 3rd is holding his Sonic Screwdriver with his other hand raised. There’s certainly no mistaking these for anyone else!
Unfortunately I don’t know who sculpted these particular miniatures. If anyone knows, feel free to let me know so I can credit the work!
The 1st Doctor – William Hartnell
The 2nd Doctor – Patrick Troughton
The 3rd Doctor – Jon Pertwee
So, I decided to dig these lovely chaps out last night. I need to get my hobby mojo back as mentioned in yesterday’s post, so I think I’m going to start with the 3rd Doctor and get him painted up. Look out for this soon here and on my social media channels.
I’d absolutely love it if I could get any more from this Citadel Doctor Who range – if anyone has any lying around they’d like to donate to The Cause, get in touch 😉
